NOVEMBER

November is slowly becoming one of my favorite months. I have finally recovered from the hustle and bustle of summer, and enjoy the gorgeous pop of color of the early fall. November is a slow, quiet time to start to power down, preparing ourselves for the long winter. I love Thanksgiving- a holiday that means gathering with my loved ones and celebrating with each other, and taking some much-needed time off.
In my massage practice, the table warmer is on, and I've blended some immune-supportive and anti-inflammatory blends to help my clients ease into winter. It's a wonderful time of year to receive a massage.
November has also become a time of reflection. This fall, I was faced with an unexpected and stressful transition. Everything worked out beautifully, but there was a stretch of weeks where I felt disconnected, jagged, and anxious. I have never handled change well, and this was a lesson for me that my self-care has suffered, leaving me vulnerable.
I need to be better at the quiet time. That delicate space where I refresh myself, rest my mind and body, and relish in that joy. November gives me that opportunity.
I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving. I continue to be grateful for all of you who have worked with me over this year. Take care of yourself!
